POS: Sell better with afb and iPad

The afb Credit Management Solution is now also available for mobile devices such as the Apple iPad.

Munich, 30.07.2010 - The afb Credit Management Solution is now also available for mobile devices such as the Apple iPad. This enables sales staff at the point of sale to handle the entire leasing and credit process from quotation and application to contract conclusion and contract management on the move. The solution integrates seamlessly into the overall afb solution and is therefore also ideally suited for multi-channel use.

"When developing the iPad capability, we did not expect that so many customers would be interested in it straight away," reports afb CEO Jan Ph. Wieners: "afb assumes that the Apple iPad will also bring the mobile world to stationary sales." The main advantage lies in the improved customer service: the dealer can, for example, submit an individual leasing or loan offer directly at the vehicle - whether in the dealership or on the lot. Wieners: "The iPad gives dealers a clear competitive advantage because they can make the financing process more flexible and thus offer their customers better service."

afb-App Fully integrated

Especially when, as with the afb-CMS, the bridge is built to a central company application, as this enables consistent data and functions throughout the company as well as a uniform multichannel approach. Whether the customer obtains a leasing or loan offer on the Internet or a sales consultant is supported by a PC or iPad - the automated business processes behind it are always the same. The same applies to the evaluation of the customer, as it is based on the same rating and scoring modules. It therefore stands to reason that tablet devices such as the iPad will play an important role in company-wide sales strategies in the future. Provided that they become widely accepted.

The sales figures for the iPad speak for themselves: in the United States, 300,000 units were sold on the first day of sales. Market researchers from iSuppli assume that around 13 million units will be sold this year and as many as 100 million by the end of 2012.
