Honda Bank launches the expansion of Credit Management Solution from afb Application Services AG
Munich, 30 June 2015 - afb Application Services AG (afb), a leading European full-service provider for the optimisation of financing processes of banks and leasing companies, announces the successful launch of the expanded and updated version of the afb Credit Management Solution (afb-CMS) for Honda Bank GmbH.
Honda Bank GmbH, the financial services subsidiary of the automotive and motorcycle brand Honda, has been using afb-CMS for the management of the credit and leasing business for private and commercial customers since 2006. Based on their successful collaboration over the past years, Honda Bank decided in 2012 to extend the Wholesale Finance functionality of afb-CMS and replace their existing in-house developed system. At the same time, the Retail Finance, Collateral Management and Business Intelligence functionality that Honda Bank was using were updated to the current afb-CMS version.
During the course of the joint implementation project, existing processes were analysed and optimised within the framework of business process re-engineering. The Frankfurt-based financial institution benefits from optimised data supply, increased efficiency and automation, for example through interfaces to an external collateral archive.
In addition to afb-CMS, Honda Bank uses vehicle information made available through data services as well as support services for administration and maintenance of the application. With this solution in place, Honda Bank benefits from the extensive experience brought to the table by afb, who already recognised the opportunities of cloud services with application service providing back at the turn of the millennium.
